Greetings from El Salvador!

I want to take a moment to give you an update on how the ministry trip here is going. I arrived last Thursday afternoon and was greeted at the airport at 2 PM by two wonderful brothers in the Lord who work very closely with me in ministry here. That evening I ministered in the first service of this trip at 6 PM. That service was in San Salvador and we had a very powerful service with approximately 350 in attendance. Afterwards I had a late dinner with 8 close friends who are helping me here with alter ministry, arranging contacts with pastors and churches, providing transportation for me to services and take good care of me to be sure I am safe, protected and my needs are attended to. They are awesome. Without them the ministry here would not be possible - you can not "just show up here" and take off ministering. This takes contacts, connections, organization and working with the "right people".

Friday morning we traveled to a nearby city, Lourdes. This is about 45 minutes from the capital city of San Salvador. It is a very dangerous area with a huge concentration of gangs. I have ministered there before. The people there live in a great fear because of the intense gang fighting, random shootings, killings, kidnappings and extortion. I ministered to a group of 15 pastors who gather together to pray about the gang violence. By the laying on of hands and prayer, each of them received personal ministry. The Lord moved in such a powerful way in each of these ministers as they were encouraged and built up in their faith. Friday at 4 PM I was granted the opportunity to minister for 30 minutes on a live radio broadcast to an estimated 600,000 listeners on a Christian station.

Saturday evening my driver, ministry contact here, friend, 24/7 body guard and room mate (Rafael Madrid) and I traveled a a very rough area to minister in Bro. Rafael's home church. This small church is in a very poor neighborhood. It is a very depressed area, dimly lit and people everywhere. It was my very first visit to this church. For those who read our AIM 2009 year end review this is also the home church of Sister Gracia - the young woman who was miraculously healed last year when I ministered to her (please see the back page of the brochure). Sister Gracia's parents are the pastors. It was approximately 70 adults packed into this tiny church. The noise level from buses, trucks, alarms going off in cars, and street noise made ministering very challenging. The smell of exhaust fumes permeated the room though the bar covered windows which are just a few feet from the busy street. I began to minister and Holy Spirit moved in such an incredible way in this service. This was the first time Brother Rafael had translated for me publicly in a service and he was very nervous. This was his first time for being in front of his home church in any ministry capacity and the first time this little church had ever had ministry like this in their church. Brother Rafael did a fine job. What began Saturday evening as a very depressed, dejected group soon changed as the power of the Holy Ghost feel on this congregation. Healings occurred, souls were set free from bondage, and most were overcome by the presence of Holy Spirit as His tangible presence fell on every person: most were overcome by the power of God and lay prostrate on the floor....this had never happened in this church before. Mere words can not express what happened in this service. The countenance changed on almost every face and the entire atmosphere changed as a spirit of depression lifted. I personally ministered to every individual present. Afterwards I was introduced to a heavily armed police officer who stepped inside. As it turned out, he had been asked by the pastor to be stand guard outside the church to be sure I was protected during the service. I was not told he was outside until after the service. I asked him if I could pray for him and he readily agreed. I laid hands on him, prayed for him and asked for the Lord to protect him and keep him safe. Police officers are targeted here by the gangs.
Then I was taken to the rear of the building to the "children's church". My heart sank as I saw more than 45 little boys and girls in an area that looked like a little cave carved out of the hillside. These happy children were having church in this tiny "cave". With joyful smiles they greeted me and sang to me. I took some pictures of the children I will share with you later (I can not download to this computer). This "class room" was accessible only by 4 -5 feet of shifting concrete blocks loosely stacked as steps to go up to this dug out area. The children came down from the "class room" only by the aid of the teachers and I witness the blocks shift and fall several times as the little children passed over them......no hand rail, no mortar to hold the blocks in place....no windows; primitive, dark,gloomy.... but a functional - children's church; they were learning about Jesus and sang His praises to the top of their voices and I was greeted by beautiful smiles on these tiny faces.

Sunday morning we had another powerful service at a larger church here in San Salvador. That service started at 9AM and ended at 1:30 PM - a POWERFUL move of Holy Spirit!
A quick lunch then we were off to another city for a 3 PM service. Time does not permit me here to give you more details about these services. Let me just say God's people received miraculous healings - spirit, soul and body. The morning service had approximately 250 in attendance; the afternoon service was full and approximately 400 in attendance.
Almost every person in attendance received personal ministry.

I must now get ready for a meeting with a team of pastors that are interested in working with me and Arise International Ministries for the next Vessels of Honor Seminar to be held here. Tonight some ministry friends are preparing a special dinner for me. Tuesday I travel back to Lourdes for an evening service. Please pray for this service. The pastor has asked that I complete the service by 8:30 PM for the safety of those who attend. They must walk back to their homes in this very unsafe gang area - and he has asked for our personal safety that we not be there after 8:30.

I will return home Thursday night. This has been a most incredible trip. There has been such a powerful move of Holy Spirit and so many lives have been touched, and changed for His glory.

Thank you caring, for praying and for those of you who were able to give financially to help make this trip possible.

In His Service,
Wilson
